Binaural beat therapy is not a new form of therapy although it has not always been called binaural beats. Binaural beats therapy focuses on a specific range of brain waves to produce a desired result from the therapy, and each range has a specific set of results. It is also important to note that although you are focusing on a certain range of brain waves, the different frequencies do have different results as well.
The Alpha waves range is from 7 Hz to 13 Hz, as previously discussed a tone of 12 Hz can have very adverse effects on your therapy, while only 1 Hz higher at 13 Hz will not give you the same type of adverse effects. Binaural beats 12 Hz therapy is used mostly to induce feelings of relaxation, which works very well for people who find themselves battling to have a good night’s sleep.
It is important to note that for binaural beats 12 Hz therapy to be effective the binaural beat tone has to be a definitive 12 Hz as any slight alteration can produce very different results.
