Isochronic tones are a form of brain wave entrainment which is similar to other forms of
entrainment such as binaural beats. Isochronic tones are specific frequency of tone that is played at
a specific interval to force the brain to react in the desired manner. The main difference between
the binaural beats and the isochronic tones is that you do not need to use headphones to experience
the benefits from isochronic tones.
Isochronic tones have been specifically designed to produce the tone at an audible frequency for a
specific period of time, for example, you will listen to an isochronic tone that is 800 Hz for a couple
of seconds, and then have total silence for 10 seconds, only to have the tone repeat at the exact
same frequency for the exact same period of time, creating a cycle of tone, silence, tone. The brain
then reacts to this stimulation by focusing the dominant brain wave frequency on the frequency of
the ‘beat’ which is created with the pulsating tone of the isochronic tones session.
Many people prefer using isochronic tones as they are easier to listen to for extended periods of
time and you do not have to worry about having a head set to use them, making them easier to
listen to anywhere.
There are a variety of mental and physical problems which can be relieved with the use of isochronic
tones, these include but are not limited to depression, headaches, sleep disorders, and increasing
serotonin levels within the body.
Many people combine the use of isochronic tones with meditation or other self-improvement
techniques to help them grow emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Isochronic tones are very
effective in helping you to relax, which is one of the most important aspects of any meditation
practice.
Whether you have started becoming interested in isochronic tones because of their effects on your
mind and body or because you heard someone say that they help with meditation, you still need to
do your own research and find the isochronic tones which work for you.
Different frequencies of different isochronic tones are designed to generate different responses
from the brain and within the body, but because each human being is an individual with their own
set of preferences, ideas and beliefs, what works for one individual will not necessarily work for the
next one in the same manner.
Isochronic tones are as effective as binaural beats, except that they do not require the use of
headphones to be effective. When you ready to start looking for different isochronic tones to add to
your daily routine or to aid you with our meditation, studies, relaxing or any other area of your life
where you feel you could benefit from the use of isochronic tones it is important to try a variety of
isochronic tones before making a decision on which tones are best for you.
