The internet is like a giant encyclopaedia, regardless of what topic you are interested in there is a wealth of information available, and meditation is no different. You can find different meditation websites for definitions on meditation, tools for meditation and different practices of meditation.
The main concern with so many different sources of information is that they will sometimes contradict one another, and people often believe that the information available on the internet is not properly researched and therefore they feel that the internet is not a reliable source of reference for any topic.
Although it is true that there are topics which are covered by individuals on various blog posts that are written from their own opinion, there are also meditation websites which are developed to be reliable sources of information, these are normally owned by various companies that provide different meditation services and they have a list of resources where their information originated from.
Also listen to your instincts and your own body, if you have chosen to start a meditation practice and after a week your body is still rejecting the position that you have chosen, then try a different position, because within a week you will be able to determine whether or not a particular position is suitable for you or not. It is important to remember that a practice will take longer than a week to become a habit, so this guide line is not suitable for different types of practices, only for positions, because if your back is constantly sore or your knees get sore after the first session and they do not stop being sore, then there is clearly unnecessary strain on the area and you need to change your position.
With the different meditation websites available on the internet you will never be at a loss for ideas, tools, guided meditations and other information for your chosen meditation practice. Make sure that you book mark your favourite meditation websites and tell your friends and family that also practice meditation or have an internet in meditation about the websites you have used.
