Meditation Yoga

Many people have adopted various practices to help them relax, especially because our daily lives are so stressful.  Some people have tried both meditation and yoga practices, and still follow each practice at individual times of the day, but it is possible to combine your meditation practice and your yoga practice into a complete meditation yoga practice.

Many people who have joined their yoga and meditation practice into a meditation yoga practice have found that their meditations are more enlightening, they do not feel lethargic or battle to keep their posture while meditating and they feel more energetic after their meditation yoga sessions.

Meditation is generally a practice that requires you to sit in one position for a specific period of time, this can cause discomfort and stiffness, but with meditation yoga you are able to keep your muscles relaxed and the yoga part of meditation yoga helps you to not get stiff or feel discomfort during your meditation.

You can even meditate while doing various yoga poses, although this will alter your meditation posture, it has benefited many individuals who find that the strict meditation postures are too uncomfortable for them to hold for long periods of time.

A yoga practice helps you to align your body, to get in touch with your inner being and pay attention to the subtle messages that your body gives you all day every day, while relaxing the mind at the same time, while a meditation practice teaches you to quieten the mind, and focus on the specific areas you want to improve, helping you to get a deeper insight into your own mind and body.  Combining the two makes your meditation yoga practice a powerful tool to relax your mind and body while still focusing on your goals and paying attention to the body.

There are many people who have experienced the great benefits of a meditation yoga practice, it is simply combining two practices into one, making your time more productive and your results more inspiring.
